Our sunscreens are packed with moisturising and skin-loving ingredients such as coconut, almond, olive and watermelon oils, and contain minerals, vitamins and fatty acids to repair and replenish the skin's moisture barrier. However, zinc oxide (our active ingredient for ultimate sun protection), is a natural astringent. This is a good thing if you're looking to shrink pores and avoid oil build up over the day, but if your skin is naturally on the drier side, you may want to layer up with your regular moisturiser first, before locking it in for the day with a layer of sunscreen.

One of the easiest methods for getting sunscreen out of your fabric is to use a dishwashing liquid. Our products are oil-based therefore laundry detergent doesn't work as well, however dishwashing liquid is designed to remove oil from our plates!

Use your fingers to work the liquid detergent into a lather, then scrub the stain using an old toothbrush to get the detergent into the fabric. After lathering, soak in hot water for a couple of hours, then wash as per usual.

Initially our thicker Sports Performance Sunscreen will have a slight white cast as you are putting it on. This is temporary and as you rub it in or after sitting for a short amount of time on the skin the sunscreen will blend into skin.

We can assure you it does not affect the SPF rating or quality of our zinc, it is only an aesthetic feature and once you dig in and start using the zinc the bumps disappear. The quality of the zinc is not altered in any way.

This makes the formula concentrated and protective, but skin that’s already dry, sensitive, or compromised might need some extra love and hydration. Applying a layer of moisturiser underneath can help to reduce any potential for irritation.
This step isn’t essential for most people, but if your skin tends to feel tight, reactive, or especially dry, adding moisturiser first is a good idea.
Alternatively, our original Sports Performance formula is a water-oil emulsion and contains hydrating ingredients such as almond oil and glycerin.

We still remain extremely confident that this product will outperform our Everyday Sunscreen in terms of sun protection when out in the heat and water due to feedback from thousands of loyal Sol Goods sunscreen wearers! There is very little difference between SPF 40 which filters out 97.5% of the sun’s rays, and SPF 50 which filters 98% of rays.
