I started Sol Goods because I didn't think people should have to compromise between effective sun protection and the ingredients they feel comfortable using on their families. But the more we looked at daycares, kindergartens and schools, the more we realised that choice isn't always available or affordable. So, we're doing something about it.
We are on a mission to make mineral sunscreen more accessible to Kiwi kids.

Zinc oxide based sunscreens have always been highly effective at protecting against UV damage, but they’ve traditionally been known for being thick, more challenging to apply, and leaving a heavy white layer on your skin.

Our innovative formulas have overcome all those challenges and more, showing just how far mineral sunscreens have advanced in recent years. While they still work by creating a physical barrier on your skin, they are easy to apply and look and feel good on your skin.

At a time when certain chemical UV filters used in conventional sunscreens are under increasing scrutiny in Australia and around the world, we are particularly passionate about starting where sunscreen is often applied the most to little bodies. Our daycares, kindergartens, and schools.

We’re removing barriers by increasing awareness of mineral sunscreen as a viable choice and finding ways to make it more affordable.
